For nearly six years, Momma Kitty has been part of the American Waste Control office. Once a feral cat we started feeding, she became our first rescue and a beloved fixture in and around the office.
Some rescue stories start with a big moment. Others begin quietly, one bowl of food at a time.
Momma Kitty was a feral cat who started coming around the American Waste Control office almost six years ago. She was cautious, independent, and unsure of people, but she kept showing up. So we kept feeding her.
Over time, Momma Kitty became more than a cat we helped. She became part of the office.
She was our first rescue and has become a familiar fixture both inside and outside the building. Team members know her, look for her, care for her, and make sure she has a safe place to rest. What started as a simple act of kindness turned into a long-term commitment to a life that needed care.
Momma Kitty’s story is a reminder that rescue does not always happen all at once. Sometimes it happens slowly, through patience, consistency, and showing up day after day.
For nearly six years, Momma Kitty has been cared for, protected, and loved by the people around her. She may have started as a feral cat outside the office, but today, she is part of the American Waste Control family.
