The note on Wednesday’s cage said everything: “Owners moved. Left behind.”
She had been abandoned, and her time was almost out. Wednesday was scheduled for euthanasia the very next day.
But one loving, caring person involved in rescue efforts saw something in her eyes. She saw a dog who still had hope. She saw a life worth saving. And she knew Wednesday needed a chance.
OK Save A Life stepped in, and with the help of our wonderful vet, his right-hand person, our foster, and our rescue partner Mia, that chance became possible.
Because people cared enough to act, Wednesday was not left behind again. She was seen, helped, and given the opportunity to have a family of her own.
Today, Wednesday was adopted.
Her story is a reminder of why rescue matters. Sometimes one person noticing, one team stepping in, and one community working together can change the entire ending of a life.
Wednesday’s story could have ended in heartbreak. Instead, it became a story of hope, love, and a second chance.
